Unsung heroes.
They are everywhere in our lives.
They make us laugh.
They support us when we are ready to give up.
They help us see possibilities.
They love us despite our weaknesses.
They help...sometimes even by telling us a truth we don't want to hear.
They believe in us.
I am sure you have many such heroes in your lives. Parents, siblings, extended family, work family and friends.
Each of them has a role to play.
One is the glue.
One is the light.
One is the rock.
This week remember that you are the unsung hero to many of your students.
You are the glue for them when they are falling apart.
You are the light on the days that seem so dark.
You are the rock, the only consistent protector that they know.
Thank you to all staff who play these roles for our students.
You are a hero, most days unsung. Guard your heart with the knowledge that your work makes a difference.
